Winner of the 2011 Design Education Initiative at the Core77 Design Awards, Sticks + Stones is an "innovative course structure and curriculum that expands students’ knowledge of regional and global subcultures". The 2006 4-university collaboration included a workshop at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, CA, an interactive, printed catalog, and an exhibit at the Birmingham Civil Rights Insitute in Alabama.
L'Animal Exotique is a 3-part poster campaign addressing the negative portrayals of Asian women in media. Terms such as "China Doll", "Geisha Girl" and "Lotus Blossom" are analyzed to target the exotification of Asian women, in relation to the sex industries or other subservient or repressive roles associated with Asian women.
